The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Seamer Specialist to lead the Seaming and Filling Department. As a Department Head, you will be responsible for the overall performance, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all filling and can-seaming machinery. This is a hands-on leadership role for a technical expert who excels at mentoring a team and driving operational reliability.

What You'll Do:

• Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the seaming and filling department, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely.
• Preventative Maintenance: Develop and direct proactive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and safe operation of all can seaming and filling equipment.
• Technical Expertise: Conduct audits and provide hands-on support for rebuilds, diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments on high-speed industrial can seamers (e.g., Angelus, Continental).
• Leadership and Training: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and operators, providing mechanical and technical training to enhance team skills.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Control department to conduct routine can seam testing and inspection to ensure compliance with strict quality standards.
• Inventory and Budget: Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with engineering and management to plan for the department's needs and budget effectively.
• Compliance: Ensure the department operates in full compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.

What You'll Bring:

• 5-10 years of professional maintenance experience in a manufacturing, food, or related industrial field.
• Demonstrated expertise in the operation, maintenance, and diagnostics of industrial can seamers and fillers is essential.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, with the ability to lead and develop a technical team.
• Exceptional problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality control.
