About our client
Our client is a specialist industrial electrical company. They install, maintain and fault-find for major manufacturing plants, factories and processing facilities across the South Island. They're known for their commitment to safety and to their people, and demand for their services means they now need more experienced industrial electricians.

The role
This is a full-time, permanent role in a busy industrial environment. No two days are the same. One day you'll be on planned maintenance, the next tracking down a breakdown on a production line, and the next on a major installation. Customers rely on you to keep their operations running.

What you'll do

  • Install, maintain and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment, including conveyors, automated systems, motors and switchboards
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections
  • Diagnose and fix complex faults quickly to minimise downtime
  • Work from drawings, schematics and technical documents
  • Complete all work to the Electricity (Safety) Regulations and relevant NZ standards
  • Keep accurate job records and write technical reports

 

What you'll bring

  • NZ registered electrician with a current EWRB practising licence
  • Proven industrial electrical experience
  • Strong fault-finding skills on PLCs, motor starters and VSDs
  • A methodical, logical approach to problem solving
  • A strong commitment to health and safety
  • Comfortable working on your own or in a team, and good at managing your time
  • A full NZ driver's licence
