The role:
We are looking to hire an Industrial Electrician with hazardous area experience to add to our existing team of electricians. This is a full-time role with working hours of 7.30am to 4.00pm Monday – Friday.  The role will see you running jobs on customers sites, while supervising a small team of electricians and managing customer relationships on site. •    Undertaking electrical industrial repairs and maintenance to plants
•    Electrical design specific for Hazardous Areas
•    Supporting and installing control systems
•    Electrical Project Management
•    Upgrades to existing electrical/control systems
•    Design of electrical safety systems
•    Fault finding and servicing of electrical devices/systems

You will be required to undertake pre-employment alcohol and drug testing as well as a Police security check due to the requirements of a number of our customers sites.

A day in the life of Industrial electrician:
Your day will see you involved in a variety of tasks such as:

•    Troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment/systems utilised in industrial plants and hazardous areas
•    Performing scheduled maintenance on various plants electrical infrastructure
•    Installing, testing and commissioning new electrical equipment and systems
•    Implementing all relevant safety regulations and procedures
•    Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all work carried out
•    Supervising a small team of electricians

What we require from you:
We are committed to providing our clients’ exceptional service, ensuring the safety and efficiency of their electrical and control systems throughout their facilities.  As such we require you to have the following:

•    Current NZ Registered Electrician with Hazardous Area Endorsement on your license
•    Hazardous area experience 
•    Proven experience in fault finding and servicing of electrical devices/systems 
•    The ability to work productively in a safe and healthy manner either autonomously or within a team
•    Current full NZ driver’s license,
•    Good communication abilities to interact with clients and team members
•    The ability to supervise and mentor people to reach project, company goals.
•    Willingness to work on an on-call roster
•    The right to work and live in New Zealand
